It's been a crazy day.

After the Arrow drops in on an arrest gone sideways where the Flash is involved, Barry is eager to catch up with the hooded hero and see what's going on.

Barry makes a race out of joining Oliver and his team where they're hanging out on the edge of town and naturally he wins, even after giving Oliver quite the head start.

It's something Barry brags about while talking to Felicity, who's happy to see him, and Diggle who is just plain gobsmacked.

"Hi, Barry," Felicity greets after Barry speeds onto the scene.

"Hey, Felicity." Pushing back his mask, he gives her a warm smile in return, then throws the man beside her a nod. "How you doing, Dig?"

Diggle can only stare in wide-eyed shock. "You're fast."

Having a laugh about that, they all turn when Oliver arrives, motorcycle revving before coming to a screeching halt.

Barry heads over to greet the man, his wide smile showing his excitement at having Oliver here.

"Hey, thanks for showing up back there, but I had that," Barry informs Oliver.

"Uh-huh," Oliver returns, clearly unconvinced.

Barry grins good-naturedly, coming back with, "What? I was getting ready to make my move."

"What move? The one to the morgue?" Oliver replies.

Barry laughs and then finally asks them all, "So what are you guys doing in Central City?"

They're working a case. One that involves somebody using a boomerang as a murder weapon.

Which, cool. But, also awful.

Barry tells them about the metahuman he's after who makes people angry, then makes an excited suggestion of a team-up.

"I'll help you find your boomerang man, you can help me find my super rage-a-holic," he says, throwing an eager grin Oliver's way.

Felicity agrees, but Oliver is quick to nix them both.

"No, we'll handle our business and head home," Oliver says, sounding rather firm on that.

Felicity pleads the case and in the end a compromise is made where Felicity makes the decision to head to S.T.A.R. Labs alone, thereby not risking Oliver's identity, and Barry is quick to jump on board, whisking her away and leaving behind Oliver and Diggle.

******

It's a very quick trip to S.T.A.R. Labs. In fact, a little too quick.

Felicity is impressed by the speedy journey, but her and Barry's grand entrance is ruined a bit by the fact that he's sort of… set her on fire.

It's quickly taken care of, with only her shirt as a casualty, and Caitlin is there immediately to offer a S.T.A.R. Labs replacement.

After a couple bouts of awkward they finally get down to the reason for Felicity's visit.

"I'm here because of this… " Felicity says to Cisco and Caitlin pulling out an evidence bag with a deadly looking boomerang tucked inside.

Cisco sees and his eyes widen in excited glee. "OHH, Awesome."

He makes grabby hands and takes the boomerang from Felicity, inspecting it closely.

"What are the wings made of?" Cisco asks.

"Not sure," Felicity admits. "I'm thinking some sort of composite or high-density plastic."

Cisco nods along, throwing in his own cursory analysis before declaring, "Oh, I wanna run some tests, and I wanna run 'em right now!"

While the pair of them head off to play with the new toy, Barry catches up with Caitlin.

"Hey, you guys come up with anything new on our meta?" Barry asks.

Caitlin gives a nod.

"The officer who was affected tonight says he saw a flash of red before he lost control. I suspect the meta is inducing rage via the ocular nerve."

It's weird, but it also makes sense. Caitlin doesn't get into it anymore though. Instead, she informs Barry that Dr. Wells wants to see him.

Heading off to find Dr. Wells, Barry thinks nothing of it until he steps into the room and finds both Dr. Wells and Joe waiting for him; each man wears a grim expression.

"Why do I feel like I just got called into the principal's office?" Barry asks, leerily eying them both.

"The Starling City vigilante," Joe opens, getting right into it.

Confused, Barry corrects, "He calls himself 'the Arrow' now."

"Oh, does he, 'Flash'?" Joe returns.

There's ire and disapproval coming from both of them and Barry definitely doesn't get why.

"Wait, what's the problem?" he asks.

"We don't trust him," Dr. Wells answers.

Barry shakes his head to that and them, "You guys don't even know him."

They make their case based around Oliver's early days as the Vigilante and Barry stands up to argue in the Arrow's favor.

"He's a hero, Joe," Barry finally says in Oliver's defense.

"You're a hero, Barry," Dr. Wells counters. "You offer protection, hope, light. What that man does is carry out a dark reckoning for his city. It is a brutal, violent vision of justice, one we do not share."

Barry listens, upset by everything that's being said, but unswayed. Barry knows Oliver is a good man, and that what he does is all about protecting his city.

Arguing the point further isn't going to change either of their minds though, so Barry settles for letting his silence show his disagreement with both of them.

"You truly think he's a hero, fine, so be it," Dr. Wells says at last. "But he's not the kind you should be looking up to."

Joe takes a harder line, declaring, "I want that 'Arrow' out of my city. Tonight."
