The drones seem to figure that he's going for the wrench, and move (some more fluidly and gracefully than others) to try to make a circle around it, as one dives straight for Barry, buzzsaw screeching.


Yamato leans back, out of the way of the bat -- and while the man's reluctance to damage the equipment would usually be a useful advantage, he also needs that equipment intact.

So he slips by the man, backing out into the corridor, dropping into a fighting stance as he goes. It gives him less room to maneuver, but at the very least a wayward strike from a bat isn't going to wreck all the computers he needs.

"Try to keep up," he calls.
